FAR HORSES LOOKING WELL & HAPPY

It has been a quiet time for FRED ARCHER RACING for the past few weeks.  The horses went a bit quiet after they had to have an extra compulsory flu vaccination which seemed to knock the horses for six but hopefully they are back in good form.

THE TIN MAN ran no race at all in The Hackwood Stakes but we feel it was too soon after Ascot and the fact that he had a flu vac after the Diamond Jubilee didnt help.  Do not right him off he looks fantastic again now and we are getting him ready for another tilt at The Haydock Sprint at the beginning of September.  He looked absolutely fantastic in the paddock earlier in the week.  He has also had a swim recently and will hopefully have some more as he enjoys it.

LORD GEORGE has been on holiday for a couple of months and has come back looking very very well.  He has put on some weight and is enjoying his work.  He went to a pre training yard before coming back in and they have done an excellent job.  He didnt have to go back to square one when he first went back out on the heath.

ARCHER’S DREAM didnt run any sort of race at York.  We had a really quiet period with the horses and her run in the Gp3 Summer Stakes was during this time.  I dont think that York was the ideal course for her and the long lead up across the Knavesmire would not have suited.  She was still very inexperienced.  She had ten days off which did her the world of good and she is now back in full work and I think looking stronger and I am very pleased with her.

One of the best sights out on the heath is to see SOCIETY PRINCE back in full work.  He has had nothing but stupid problems for the past year and a half.  A girl on another horse she could not hold ran straight into the back of him and he could have had an even worse injury but luckily our vets got him down to their hospital where he had to stay for a couple of weeks.  He is such a wonderful little horse and a terrier just like his Dad SOCIETY ROCK.  Some horses might not have wanted to do anymore after what he has been through but all he has wanted to do is catch up with the others.  He had another couple of little blips after being struck in to but he has come back and moving better than he ever has.

Sadly dear MASTER ARCHER who is the kindest of horses has incurred a nasty injury and will be off for quite a while.  We will have to give him some time off and see how he is after this.  He is a much loved horse at Pegasus and most people would pay to ride him as he is such a gentleman.
