Little ARCHER’S DREAM made her first start on the Racecourse a winning one.  It was really a perfect start for this filly by Dream Ahead out of the Pegasus trained BADR AL BADOOR.  She jumped well and got a nice lead into the race before taking it up about a furlong out.  It was such a professional performance from a filly who was having her first race.  To be perfectly honest at no stage did she ever look like getting beaten.  My only worried was that she might get tired but luckily she didn’t.

the problem is where to go now as she isn’t a very big filly and having to carry a penalty might be quite tough for her.  She is very like her mother who was also very easy.  We thought it looked quite a hot race beforehand but I don’t think the favourite Shades of Blue was the same filly that got beaten a head in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last year. The second horse Tapisserie looked as if she would come on a lot for the run as she was quite green and was running on but having said that our filly couldn’t have done it more easily.

George Wood who rode her use to look after BADR AL BADOOR and she was his first lead up and winner so it was very appropriate she was ARCHER’S DREAM to her first win.  He gave her a lovely ride but I think he would say she gave him a lovely ride as he thoroughly enjoyed being on her.

She is the sweetest filly with a lovely laid back kind temperament.  She was bought at The December Sales for 38,000gns.  Her mother is a half sister to the good sprinter from 2016 Gp1 winner Profitable so a pretty nice pedigree.
